Going on Kelf's post about celebrities, I read this article in my blog feed and I thought about Kelvin. I don't know anyone who loves Cheesecake factory more than Kelvin. Now I know the answer is basketball players. Maybe it's a rule that if you're over 6'4", you love Cheesecake Factory

awkward position

so at work theres this guy that coincidentally lives in the same apartment complex as myself and ive seen him around the plant a lot more lately. he's a super flamer and because the people i eat with see him waving to me, they make fun of me with gay jokes. he comes up to me and talks to me about a month ago and asks if i have any good dvds at home. im thinking that he wants to come over and borrow some so to avoid having to see this guy ever...i tell him no i dont have any dvds. then he asks do you have any pots and pans? and i tell him no i dont cook. and im like geez this guy wants to be friends w/me or some shit. ugh. so i told my coworkers of this and they make even more fun of me. then lately ive been getting emails from him to my work email address. like those joke emails that circulate through the office. and he's a production worker taht doesnt work with a computer or has a hospira email account meaning he goes out of his way to send these emails to me. so i dont really think too much of this.

then yesterday, the wife of one of my coworkers (who works with the gay dude) tells her husband that the gay dude asked if i was in a relationship with anyone and how much he likes my body and crap like that. and now my coworkers are having a field day with all this and loving it. im just trying not to throw up. i try to shake the sick feeling in my stomach with some breakfast so as im standing in line in the cafeteria, i feel a hand gently caress my bottom. i turn around and its him smiling at me. being the professional that i am, i simply step out of line and go back to my office to cry. now if this was anywhere else this dude would get a good beat down, but since i cant kill people at work, i just walked away. some of my coworkers witnessed this caressing and think its hilarious. and now im thinking of heading to HR to file a sexual harrassment suit. is this warranted?

As you can see, I am bored and had to stop reading articles for class. The words were starting to blend together. Honestly, I have no idea what I have been reading. MUSH...it's all mush

guess who's back

its been a long time and the wait is over...im back and ready to help make your days at work go by a lil bit faster. we all know we look for a lil something here and there to occupy our "busy" days doing this grown up job stuff. i only wish i could freakin watch all the videos you post on the blog so i knew what the hell yall we're talking about or what was so funny, but the IT department has blocked everything fun on the internet. no online games, no porn, no you tube, no facebook....so ive resorted to two sites. http://www.howstuffworks.com/. which engulfed me for about an hour until i realized how much i hated reading. then http://www.nbc.com/. where i watch all the streaming online videos to make my day go by fast. i now watch just about all the shows that stream online through the network sites. i also just purchased a privacy filter for my monitor which is one of the best investments ive ever made. now i can look at whatever i want...guilt free. i advise everyone to get one. so thats it for the first post and i figure i leave you guys with some funny pictures about what the armed forces country would look like if hillary clinton was president. enjoy

War is Real

Sometimes I forget how real the war is. I know I am in the Army and everything I train for is so I can be an asset to the Army. However, it's easy to forget because I'm always in either a hospital or classroom. Being in Seattle, I get a constant reminder with all the gun fire and artillery in the background. If I'm outside, I can hear it. And when I was preparing my life insurance and who would be all the beneficiaries at the age of 24, I realize how real this really is. And with all the gloomy weather and gloomy future ahead, the scenery is amazing. You can see Mt. Ranier in the background when there's a break in the clouds which is almost never. The hospital has an amazing landscape, and is rated the best Army Medical Center. I really enjoy this place, but I guess the last couple days I had one of those moments where I realized how dark the world is.

On a random note, a Korean Major yesterday randomly approached me and talked to me in Korean. He's an US solider but he wanted to talk to me about nursing and such. I called him but he wasn't there so I emailed him. Hopefully he can help me with some pointers.

Sorry for being so post-y. I have a final tomorrow and don't want to study anymore. However, I DO have a point. What are you guys doing for New Years? I think Sunny sent me a text months ago, but I have no idea if I ever responded (sorry, sunny, finals time, I don't even talk to my mom. I'll spend some Sunny time when you get here.)

Anyways...who's going to be in Houston and what are you doing? Liz told me she was planning on renting out a restaurant and having a party there. 200 ppl max. Drink sales should cover it (read: no cover)

OR Cynthia just told me about a Gray Goose Party at the Renaissance Hotel for $30.

Anyway...I don't see you guys often, so let me know. I'm tired of law school, I want to see my friends! (Ask Adam, I'm boring.)

Hi here's a real post k.
I was surfing around the interweb and found an old vid of a 5'8'' french guy jumping over people and cars dunking, he could definitely headbutt the rim if he wanted to, but no he settles with jump kicking it. So being 5'7'' i was naturally inspired to do something at least similar. I'm not in the best shape ever and have been frustrated with feeling like the old dude on the court lately. Playing with high school kids is really depressing when you "know" you can run faster and jump higher but it just doesn't happen. With all this in mind, I've set a goal for myself--I'm going to dunk. Today, November 12, 2007, I will restart my air alert program, and this time I'm doing it to the end.

To help keep my eye on the prize (and make it interesting for you all) I've made a deal with cfu:

My current vertical is 26 inches.
My vertical reach is 87 inches. 10' goal = 120 inches. I'd say 132 inches needed to dunk convincingly. If my math is correct I have 19 inches to gain >_<
